Store Setup FAQ's

Why do I need Store Setup?
Setting up an online store can be a daunting experience. Our store setup service reduces the amount of hassle involved in launching your new online store and ensures that everything is setup correctly from day one.
Additionally, the service gives you a better understanding of our software and makes it easier for you to update your store once the core elements are in place.

How long does it take?
About one to two weeks. This largely depends on the type, format and timeliness of the data we receive from you.

What content/data do you need from me?
Our team will require the following information before starting the setup process:

• Products and all corresponding info such as price, size, colour, etc.
• Product Images
• Categories
• Company Info
• Merchant Account Info
• Pricing
• Shipping Data
• Options/Option Categories

Once we receive your order, you'll get an email with instructions and an example spreadsheet formatted to work with our shopping cart software. During the initial 45 minute consultation, your specialist will go over the spreadsheet and get a better understanding of your preferences.

Do I have to use your spreadsheet for the setup?
Yes. We require that all submitted files are in Microsoft Excel (.xls) or comma separate value (.csv) format.

Will you format my content?
No. The store setup service does not include formatting of the data (e.g. product descriptions) you provide us.
You can however easily format the data once it has been imported into your store.

Will you crop/edit my photos?
No. We will import your product images in the format we receive them.
Images supplied to us must follow a specific format and standard naming convention, which we will supply to you.

Do you upload multiple images for my products?
No. We will import the main product images for the first 100 products or manually upload 20 product images. Additional images for a product will not be uploaded with this service.

Will you setup payment options for my store?
Yes. We will setup and configure payment options for your store.
You must have your merchant account information ready at the time of setup.

Can I add other items to the Store Setup Service?
We will only setup the items listed above.
Items outside of the scope of services listed above will be quoted separately.

What happens when the work has been completed?
There will be a 45 minute final review session at the end of your store setup. At this time, we'll go over each completed item and answer any questions you may have.
After the review, you'll receive a written brief and sign-off form with a breakdown of the work that has been completed.
